Pete has just shown me a mouse. On the landing.
it ran under the cats’ water bowl as he went past. He lifted the bowl to prove it to me, and the mouse scuttled off behind the litter tray.
are they on strike? Have they gone off mice?
who knows.

two days later, we still haven’t located this bloody mouse …
