Obviously, cats are not allowed to scratch the wallpaper off the walls, or dismantle the furniture.
We spent the weekend before last decorating the hall, stairs and landing, so the kittens were in kitty heaven while the wallpaper came off and they climbed into the rubbish bags, and clambered up the ladders. We shut them in a carrier when the paint came out, as they are quite beautiful and need no enhancement.
And for the past couple of evenings, as we have at last managed to buy some new furniture for the living room, Pete has been dismantling our ancient arm chair, and will be doing the same to the sofa later in the week.
Ron and Henry are thus very confused, poor little mites. If they’re not allowed to do this, why are the Blobs? Mixed signals, that’s what it is.
