heat seeking missile

Liessa *loves* the heat. She basks in the sunlight – outside in the warmer weather, or on the living room carpet when it’s cooler.

And suddenly, after almost five years, she has discovered that the kitchen has many sources of heat. Her latest thing is snuggling up to the teapot in its cosy, but she will also sit beside the cooker – or even on it, if the lid is down and the oven on.

This photo (and apologies for the quality – I only had my mobile phone to hand) was taken about an hour after this pot came off the hob, and still had the gammon and its hot liquor in it, and so held a good deal of resididual heat. Yes – we know she shouldn’t be sitting on it, but I don’t know how we can stop her, really.
