Pteppic: seal point Siamese. August 1997-December 2011 It is with much sadness that we have learned that Pteppic, the world’s first – and only – Siamese walrus has been put to sleep. He, together with his lifelong companion Esk, went to live with my daughter in Norfolk about four years ago,and it’s a miracle […]

Eight cats in a small household is really too many, and as Esk has got older, she has got more and more unhappy. And so she – and her lifelong companion, Ptep – have packed their little spotted handkerchieves and emigrated to East Anglia, to live with our daughter and grandson in Norwich. We won’t […]

Just because he Nearly Died doesn’t mean that Ptep can just insert himself on top of any other cat without so much as a by your leave; he doesn’t need that excuse, he just does it anyway. It’s just as well, really, that Iggy has reserves of gruntle almost as extensive as those he has […]

Ptep went back to the vet this morning. And there’s no doubt that they were *amazed* to see how much better he was – I do believe that they didn’t think he was going to make it! he has been given more steroids, and some more of the pills that clean his liver bile, plus […]

sorry to keep posting these for those who are fed up with it, but so many people are asking us every day how he is that this is the simplest way to tell them. ++++ Ptep slept on the bed most of the night, and this morning followed me round and actually *asked* for food. […]

well, FIP test results are still not back, which is what we’re most worried about. *however*, while he’s by means a well cat, he is moving around the house – albeit like an old man 🙁 – he’s been outside to smell the fresh air, and crap in his favourite plant pot!, and best news […]

Ptep’s still not eating, although he has started grooming himself again and seems generally brighter. OTOH, they have no idea why (beyond Siamese orneryness) he is refusing food – it’s been at least 3 days, and likely more since he’s eaten. They’re taking more blood to compare with the first lot and do more tests; […]

we took Peppic to the vet yesterday evening, because he seemed rather off colour. what should have been a half hour trip (10 minutes journey each way, and 10 minutes in the surgery) turned into over two hours, as after blood tests and so forth, our vet decided that he needed to be hospitalised. The […]
